The goal of MMS Giving Foundation is to support organizations and programs that help improve the lives of individuals and the communities of the Pacific Northwest. The Foundation achieves this by providing support in the following areas.
- The Arts—supporting visual & performing arts, access to music via a variety of sources, and access to musical education and training.
Past recipients: Moisture Festival; KEXP; SYSO
- Education—supporting vocational, apprenticeship and mentoring programs, as well as education and training programs for those who are disadvantaged, less able, or have limited access or financial means.
Past recipients: South Seattle College Foundation; JazzEd; Mode Music & Performing Arts
- Health and Social Services—providing support to the developmentally disabled, at-risk and underprivileged communities.
Past recipients: White Center Food Bank; West Seattle Food Bank; Sound Behavioral Health; Mary’s Place
- Environment—providing support to organizations involved in remediation and recovery and programs that teach environmental awareness or public stewardship of the environment.
Past recipients: Seattle Aquarium Beach Naturalist and Cedar River Salmon Journey programs, SR3, Seal Sitters
The Foundation will not provide funds to support religious or political activities.
In keeping with our values, all Foundation financial assets are selectively invested based on our worldview. We do not invest in funds that we feel have a detrimental effect on society.
